In a modern kindergarten and primary school, the educational process takes place both indoors and outdoors. Therefore, the project pays great attention to functional and attractive interior spaces, as well as high-quality, safe, and diverse outdoor areas. To ensure that the outdoor spaces of a primary education institution the school building is planned near Moravų Street, forming the street perimeter and clearly separating the street from the inner courtyard spaces of the school.
The school building is divided into three volumes: a two-story kindergarten in the southern part, a three-story primary school in the central part, and a gym in the western part. These three sections create a small external courtyard, a square that clearly marks the entrance to the building. From here, there are autonomous entrances to all three sections, each serving different functions: the kindergarten, the primary school, and the gym. This is the 'foyer' of the school, where an urban square space is created.
The two-story kindergarten is located in the southeastern part of the building. It is planned to be functionally autonomous, with its own internal structure and a clearly defined outdoor space. Both the kindergarten lobby and the second floor have direct connections to the primary school's lobby, allowing the kindergarten to utilize shared spaces and functions when needed.
The primary school building is a three-story, rectangular structure with a clear design. At the center of this structure, an atrium—a winter garden—is planned, with the school's common areas arranged around it. The first floor of the school is designed for daily activities as well as informal education, events, and community activities. It includes an event hall, a library, a cafeteria, a gym, a dance hall, and art and music classrooms. The second and third floors house the main education classrooms, along with specialized classrooms for foreign languages, moral education, and natural sciences.
